2011 SAG Awards Part 2

Round 2, ladies!

Lea Michele in Oscar de la Renta Spring 2011

In a lot of ways it's a standard Lea Michele look, which should tell you something. She's been a star less than 2 years and she's already fallen into a rut style-wise. It's not a bad look at all, though.

Amber Riley in Anne Barge

We went back and forth on this. A LOT. But the bottom line is, she's a big girl. There's no dress that's magically going to make her look thinner and besides, there's no reason for her to attempt that or even want that. This dress celebrates her bod; it flatters her and balances her out by adding volume in other areas; and it's an attention-getter of a dress. Good for her. She looks like she loves the way she looks. We love the hair and makeup.

Barbara Hershey

It almost had something. There's a little visual interest with the unusual print and good styling could have taken it somewhere, but it just looks like a nightgown here. Puff up the hair, slap on some bangles and a showy necklace, and walk it like you mean it. That's how you make a dress like this work.

Cara Buono in J. Mendel Fall 2010

Hair and makeup are good and we like the color of the dress. Herein endeth the compliments. There's just way too much going on here and none of it's going on in a way that flatters her. The dress looks like it has a tumor.

Claire Danes in Louis Vuitton

We'll always applaud a print on the RC. Not sold on the belt, but the rest of it works fine. Hubby looks like a barrel of laughs, doesn't he?

Sarah Hyland in Max Mara

Pretty and understated. Nothing to get excited about but nothing to pan either. She looks sweet.

Hilary Swank in Versace

Enh. Nothing much of interest here.

Eva Longoria in Georges Hobeika Couture Spring 2011

We made fun of this on Twitter last night for being too boobtastic, but it really does look good on her. It moved beautifully. She has a tendency to sometimes wear tacky dresses on the RC, so this is a move in the right direction for her.

Helena Bonham Carter in Marc Jacobs

The Priscilla Presley hair is a little cray cray, but we just love her look here. Stylish and fabulous, but still totally HBC.

Jane Krakowski in Badgley Mischka

We didn't like this dress at all. We can't quite put our finger on why. Sometimes these metallic dresses work and sometimes they don't. We don't understand why she paired those shoes with this dress, though. Black shoes would have upped the drama.

Jayma Mays in Jenny Packham Spring 2011

We hated this on TV, but it looks a lot better here. This might not be the best color for her, though. Makeup's good but the hair's a little goofy.

Jenna Ushkowitz in Badgley Mischka

It's not as noticeable here, but on TV, you could see her belly button through the dress, which prompted us to come up with a new fashion rule: If we can see your belly button through the dress, IT'S TOO TIGHT. The fit is fine elsewhere, but it's really tight across her midsection.

Julia Ormond in Johanna Johnson

It's pretty. We like the belt and the draping in the bodice, but it does make her boobs look like they're melting.

Juliana Margulies in YSL

Pretty if unspectacular. The real news here is her super cute arm candy. Break us off a piece of THAT.

Kate Mara in Hervé Léger by Max Azria Spring 2011

Mmmm, no. It's like there's all these things going on, but there's no payoff. Does that make sense? The dress is less than the sum of its parts.

Katrina Bowden in Max Azria

Pretty. Standard.

Kyra Sedgwick in vintage Thierry Mugler

We thought she looked amazing in this dress. She's got a killer bod and the styling was kept to a minimum. A simple pair of dangly earrings and big hair is all a gal needs when she's wearing this.

Naya Rivera in Aurelio Costarella

The silhouette is lovely and it moves beautifully. It has a '30s Harlowe feel to it, but that detail at the bust makes it look her boobs are running away from each other.

Paz de la Huerta

Wow. Somebody got to her. She's been deprogrammed. We don't think she's ever shown so little skin in public. We actually like this dress a lot. The makeup is awful once again and the hair looks too casual. That lip color makes it look like she's been drinking coffee out of a bowl all day.

Annette Bening in Tony Ward Couture Fall 2010

Freaking flawless. No more needs to be said.

Rosario Dawson in J. Mendel

It's kind of plain, but the color is really gorgeous on her. We like the pairing here. Not everyone would pick those earrings and shoes, but we think whoever did has a good eye. We hate the one-shoulder hairstyle, though.

Tina Fey in Oscar de la Renta Pre-Fall 2011

There has to be a new stylist in the picture. No one makes that dramatic a turnaround all by themselves. She has never looked this good, full stop. But a black pump was not a good choice with this dress.

Valerie Bertinelli

It's a lovely dress in a beautiful color that suits her really well. And she looks amazing for her age. The problems? First, the "1974 Country Music Awards" hair; second, really bad lip color; third, uniboob

Heather Morris in Romona Keveza Resort 2010

She looks amazing here. Never, ever looked this good before. Brava, darling.
